Drug & Alcohol Policy

NASR has developed and adopted a Drug and Alcohol Policy applicable to all speedway participants commencing with the 2006/07 season (from 1st of July 2006). The policy outlines set procedures, including testing techniques for both drugs and alcohol, as well as chain of evidence requirements and relevant offences and penalties.

The policy is based on saliva testing for drugs and was written in consultation with the South Australian Police Department and relevant testing authorities. Competitors, Mechanics and Officials will be selected at random at race meetings across the country by an independent testing agency.
